International Relations in Education: Building Bridges Between Vocational Training Centres
International collaboration between vocational education centres is becoming one of the key pillars for the future of education. In a world that is increasingly connected, training students only within local realities is no longer enough. Educational institutions must create opportunities that allow both students and teachers to broaden their perspectives, exchange experiences and develop a more global vision of their professional sectors.
At CIFP en San Sebastián de La Gomera, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming Luiz Mário Alves Carneiro, together with colleagues and students from Lyceu Fernão De Magalhães, during their visit to La Gomera.
During their stay, several educational visits and activities were carried out, creating an enriching environment for cultural exchange, professional dialogue and educational cooperation. These experiences allow students to discover new ways of learning and working, while educators can share methodologies, ideas and best practices that contribute to improving vocational education.
International relationships between centres are not only beneficial from an academic perspective. They also help students develop soft skills such as communication, adaptability, teamwork and intercultural understanding — qualities that are increasingly important in today’s professional world.
Furthermore, these collaborations strengthen the connection between institutions and open the door to future projects, mobility opportunities and long-term partnerships that benefit the entire educational community.
